Rates & Process

  • All pages including cover page, appearances, index, read letters, et cetera, will be charged in the total.

  • Sundays don't count as business days in turnaround time.

  • I will confirm receipt of your transcript and your requested turnaround time.

  • The turnaround clock begins when I receive the file.  Files received after 8:00 p.m. Mountain Time or on Sundays will be checked at 8:00 a.m. the next business day.

  • Rates apply to 25 lines per page.  Pages with 28 lines will cost an additional $0.05 per page.

Whether your transcript is routine or highly technical, my goal is the same:  to return work that is accurate, consistent, and ready for delivery.

Standard                   Within 3 business days                 $0.55 / page

Rush                         Within 2 business days                 $0.65 / page

Expedite                    Within 1 business day                  $0.85 / page

Urgent                       Less than 12 Hours                      $1.00 / page

                                 Additional Charges

Certain types of transcripts will be billed at a higher rate due to the extra work required to check technical vocabulary and terms.  Having numerous mistakes on each page also makes the proofreading more time-consuming.  The cleaner the transcript you send, the more obvious the errors will be and the sooner I can return it.  I will notify you ahead of time if any of the following charges will be necessary:

  • + $0.10 / page for transcripts requiring an unusually high number of corrections

  • + $0.10 / page for medical/technical transcripts with a high frequency of advanced or complex terminology

                                         Billing

  • First time clients or one-time jobs:  I will send an invoice right away with payment due within 7 days.  I send my invoices through a program called Wave and may be paid securely by credit card or via:

  • Established clients:  I will send invoices on the 1st and 15th of the month and expect payment within 15 calendar days

                                     The Process

  1. Check My Availability

Please contact me by email at georgeprecision@proton.me with the following information:

  • The type of transcript

  • The number of pages

  • Your desired turnaround time

I'll let you know if I'm available and whether I can meet your deadline. Once we've established contact,

I'll be happy to provide my cell phone number if you'd prefer to communicate by phone or text.

2.  Send Your Transcript

Please send your fully scoped, final draft transcript in PDF format.

If you need to create a PDF, I recommend CutePDF Writer, a free PDF converter available at www.cutepdf.com.

Once I receive your transcript, I'll confirm the page count, turnaround time, pricing, and any additional details needed before I begin.

3.  Receive Your Proofread Transcript

I'll return either the corrected pages or the entire PDF—whichever you prefer—via email.

The annotated PDF cannot be converted back into your CAT file, but all corrections and suggestions will be clearly marked so you can easily make the appropriate changes within your CAT software.

4.  Review My Suggestions

Corrections and notes will appear in both RED and YELLOW on your PDF.

To ensure all annotations are visible, please open the file using the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Every edit is clearly marked, and you always have the final say. If you disagree with any suggestion, simply disregard it and move on.

5.  Questions Are Always Welcome

You always have the final word, but If you have any questions about a suggested correction, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Likewise, if you have preferences for how you'd like your transcripts proofread, just let me know. I have a preference sheet available that you may complete, or you're welcome to send me one of your own.

My goal is to catch the small details that are easy to miss while preserving your individual style and preferences.
