About Me - Howard George

I’m a professionally trained transcript proofreader with a strong background in accuracy-driven work and regulated industries. I earned my certification through Proofread Anywhere, LLC, completing specialized training in General Proofreading and Transcript Proofreading, along with thousands of pages of hands-on PDF proofreading experience.

Education & Experience

I hold both BA and M.Div degrees and bring over 20 years of experience as an Informatics Analyst for a large Northern California hospital system within its Workers’ Compensation division. In this role, I was responsible for reviewing, correcting, and validating claim data before submitting EDI reports to the State of California, where precision, consistency, and compliance were critical.

My professional background also includes being a Certified Notary in both California and Virginia, and a previously licensed Insurance Agent.  These experiences strengthened my attention to detail, understanding of legal and insurance terminology, and commitment to confidentiality.

Today, I enjoy applying this experience to transcript proofreading—helping court reporters deliver transcripts that are accurate, consistent, polished, and ready for submission.
